Note: According to State Statute, "you must have the ability to demonstrate competency with a handgun". It's our goal and job to help you achieve that level of competency.

However, remember, completion of this class is not a guarantee that Florida will issue the license. Completion of this course is only one part of the process and ultimately the State of Florida will make the final decision if you qualify.

As discussed, at the time of registration, Florida has certain requirements.

Including:

1. You must be 21 years or older
2. You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident alien with documentation.
3. Reside in the U.S. unless you are serving overseas in the United States Armed Forces AND be a US citizen or deemed a lawful permanent resident alien by Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS)

Also, prior crimes, including restraining orders, drug, or alcohol convictions can be a factor and are addressed in Florida Statute Chapter 790.
